Technology is increasingly becoming a part of the classroom, so for the final project of Chris Fahey's Interaction Design Fundamentals class, I partnered with Katie Koch and John Finley to explore this trend. We came up with Story Drifter — a hardware and software system that encourages curiosity and learning through networked rich-media.

Kids learn by associating topical connections (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/21/health/research/21brain.html), so we reflected this in the interface directly with network diagrams. Teachers and students are able to plan lessons but also serendipitously browse for new related content. The system is explained in the video below:
